ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

1. SEALED BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of

MOYOCK SEWER FORCE MAIN AND PUMP STATIONS - PHASE 1

FOR CURRITUCK COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA

will be received by the County at the office of the County Engineer, 153 Courthouse Road, Currituck, North Carolina 27929 until

2:00 P.M., LOCAL TIME

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.

2. The proposed work consists of construction of 18,400 linear feet of 4-inch force main, 14,000 linear feet of 6-inch force main, and one submersible sewer pump station to serve the Moyock area of Currituck County.

3. The Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Project Manual with Specifications, are on file at the office of the County Engineer and at the office of ARCADIS G&M of North Carolina, Inc., 801 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 300, Raleigh, NC 27607, at the McGraw-Hill Dodge Plan Room in Raleigh, NC, and at the Builder’s Exchange Plan Room in Norfolk, Va.. A set may be obtained by depositing $75.00, check only, with said ARCADIS office. Checks shall be made payable to ARCADIS G&M of North Carolina, Inc. Deposits are non-refundable.

4. A list of Bidding Documents (Plan) Holders will be available via the Internet at
bidads.arcadis-us.com/bidsystem. Scroll to “Raleigh Office”, then to the project; select “Plan Holders” view option.

5. All inquiries regarding this project can be submitted in writing via email to jeremy.allen@arcadis-us.com.

6. Each Bidder must be a Bidding Documents Holder as defined in Article 1 of the Instructions to Bidders.

7. Currituck County, North Carolina reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work.

8. A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 7, 2009 at the offices of Currituck County 153 Courthouse Road, Currituck, NC 27929. Representatives of OWNER and ENGINEER will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.
